“Annual Percentage Yield” — compounded annual yield. In DeFi, used to compare protocol returns.

BNB

Native token of BNB Chain (Binance ecosystem). Used for fees and utilities on the network.

CeFi

“Centralized Finance”. Crypto services operated by companies (exchanges, etc.). Opposite of DeFi.

DCA

“Dollar-Cost Averaging”. Buy a fixed amount periodically to smooth volatility.

DeFi

“Decentralized Finance”. Open financial protocols on blockchains (staking, lending, AMMs, etc.).

DYOR

“Do Your Own Research”. Don’t buy just because someone said so.

ETH

Ether, native token of Ethereum. Used for gas and as collateral in DeFi.

FOMO

“Fear Of Missing Out”. Can lead to impulsive, poor decisions.

FUD

“Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt”. Negativity/disinformation that affects sentiment and price.

Gas

Fee paid to execute blockchain operations (e.g., on Ethereum). Rises with congestion.

GM

“Good Morning”. Greeting/common positive vibe in crypto communities.

HODL

“Hold On for Dear Life”. Buy and hold long term, ignoring short-term volatility.

Impermanent Loss

Temporary loss when providing AMM liquidity as relative prices move.

LP

“Liquidity Provider”. Supplies liquidity to a pair (AMM) in exchange for fees/rewards.

NGMI

“Not Gonna Make It”. Meme for bad decisions/strategies. Opposite of WAGMI.

Rug Pull

Team drains liquidity/funds and disappears. Signs: no audit, unlocked liquidity, anonymous, unrealistic promises.

Slippage

Difference between expected and executed price. Larger with low liquidity/large orders.

SOL

Native token of Solana. High throughput, low fees; used for gas and dApps.

WAGMI

“We’re All Gonna Make It”. Collective optimism — we believe in the long term.
